Great Believer is a design agency for nonprofits, specializing in websites, branding and print. We’ve recently launched sites for nonprofits like The Global FoodBanking Network, DREAM, The Jed Foundation, Young Black Lawyers’ Organizing Coalition, Family Legal Care, and The Fresh Air Fund.

We’re looking for a versatile, detail-oriented and good-natured Senior Designer to join our team. Our ideal candidate should be able to join us at our Brooklyn office twice/week, but we’re also considering remote candidates.

In this full-time position, you’ll collaborate closely with our team of designers, empowering amazing nonprofits to increase their impact.

Our requirements

• You have 5+ years of professional design experience, including strong fundamentals across web, branding and print.
• You’ve had a senior-level design role where you art directed other designers.
• You have expertise with user experience and have created site maps, wireframes and user journeys.
• You’re experienced with different user research methods, including running user interviews, developing card sorts, and working with user personas
• You’re familiar with tools that help us to create high-quality user experiences, like Google Analytics and Hotjar.
• You’ve worked at an agency.
• You’re proficient in Figma, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
• You’re able to efficiently manage multiple projects at once.
• You’re comfortable walking clients through your work and fielding feedback.
• You’re familiar with WCAG (web content accessibility guidelines) standards.

• You have experience with web development (HTML/CSS and/or WordPress).

Office status

• Members of our team who are based in NYC work from our Brooklyn office twice/week.
• Our ideal candidate lives in the NYC area and is comfortable joining us in person twice/week. That said, we’re open to candidates who are based elsewhere, as long as they’re willing to work from 10am–6pm EST.

Benefits and company policy

• The expected salary range for this position is $80,000–$92,500.
