The beginning of an incredible story

It’s estimated that 700,000 cases of HIV/AIDS in young adults could be prevented each year with a complete primary education. Figures like these gave Moe the idea to create Nalane, a nonprofit that would provide after-school programs and social services.

When Nalane was first coming into focus, Moe gave us very simple direction for the logo: make people feel the emotion behind Nalane’s mission. Out of the different options we designed, an abstract rendering of someone providing a helping hand resonated the most.

To help spread the word, we also worked with Moe on the Nalane website. With a name like Nalane – which literally translates to “the story of” – we spent considerable time making sure the purpose and promise of the nonprofit came through. We helped tell Nalane’s story through a mix of strong graphics, bold colors and powerful photography, inviting visitors to feel the mission and take action.

Upon launch, Nalane was operating programs in two schools. Today, they operate in ten. But Moe’s not done. Nalane is set to expand into South Africa – and we couldn’t be more proud.
